We Customize Programs To Your Goals!

Athletic EDG Fitness works to bridge the gap between sports and fitness for the general public and tackle the training methods still used by so many professionals in the industry.

If you still exercise with the mentality that fitness needs to hurt and nutrition needs to be bland, boring, and generally horrible to work, you’re doing it wrong. Sure, there are mental and physical benefits to pushing past your comfort zone and getting used to being uncomfortable. I mean burpees and boiled chicken? Not exactly a cozy nap on the couch or ideal afternoon snack. But the upswing of tough AF workouts, programs, and restrictive diets can leave even the toughest, fittest, strongest badass out there wondering, “Am I doing enough?” “Should I be doing more?” “If I’m not sore the next day, did it even count?” This is the approach of so many fitness professionals out there and is exactly what we work to dispel.

So much of the general population still believe they need to sacrifice life and limb for that lean, fit physique they see in the gym, that they don’t even make an attempt. And this only furthers their discontent with their current situation.

Athletic EDG Fitness was created because we believe that being committed to a healthy active lifestyle doesn’t involve living and breathing macros and deadlift PR’s, or hours of gym time if that isn’t your thing. We believe in sports as much as gyms, but we believe it is an important personal responsibility to find out what kind of fitness fits within your lifestyle to make it an active lifestyle, all while working towards the goal of that healthy, lean, fit, and most importantly SUSTAINABLE physique, whether it’s for sport or just everyday life.

Dedicated To Your Fitness Goals

Sport and fitness have always defined me. More often than not I’ve felt like, I’ve got to do this and I’ve got to be the best. This was usually my thought process, growing up playing competitive soccer. It was definitely my approach to the military after high school, and in university, it was how I managed varsity. So naturally, it was my mentality when I began competitive bodybuilding.

Little did I know that this way of thinking would lead me down a nearly 10-year long road battling body dysmorphia (body image), bulimia, and clinical depression and anxiety. Despite all of this, looking back I am glad I went through that because it has helped me better understand what is truly healthy really means, both mentally and physically. I learned what it felt like to be shameful of eating. I learned what it feels like to be unnecessarily hard on your body. All of which have helped me relate to the people I train so much more.

I didn’t like who I was, and it took me years to get over my issues with body image, something a lot of the people I work with can relate to.

Helping clients realize their full potential – even in the face of their own struggles with weight, body image, and everything in between, is one of my biggest challenges. So many of my clients are in their situations because they give so much of themselves, they forget to take care of themselves along the way. My goal is to show them how capable they are and deserving they are of it.
