The results you’ll see when working with a personal trainer will depend on the time you invest and the goals themselves. By understanding how much time you need to invest to reach your specific goals, you’ll be a better judge of both your trainer and any fitness limitation you may have.

The Newbie

If you haven’t exercised in a long time or have never worked out before, make meeting your personal trainer two to three times a week a priority. This type of regularity ensures that you are developing the proper form when exercising, prioritizing your fitness as a commitment, and working out enough to see progress.

The Athletic Type

If you play sports, your personal trainer can help you improve your performance and decrease the likelihood of sports-related injuries. Depending on your specific situation, this type of training can range from only one session with general recommendations to ongoing weekly sessions for the entire duration of the season.

Training for Fat Loss

If your goal is to lose body fat, you should be working out three to five times a week. One to two of your sessions should be with your personal trainer, and two to three on your own. Another important component that cannot be left out in fat loss is the importance of nutrition.

Training for an Event

If you’re training for an upcoming event, building muscle, strength, and flexibility targeted for the event is critical. Working out with a personal trainer in the weeks prior to the event prepares you both mentally and physically. Depending on your current levels of fitness,that can be one to three training sessions a week to help you achieve your goals.

Small group training allows you to experience the benefit of personal training while splitting the cost between the group. This approach combines the personalized experience of one on one style training with the fun of working out with your spouse, friends, kids or teammates!

Nutrition Coaching

Nutrition is often overlooked in fitness however the old saying "you are what you eat" holds true. What you eat has a direct correlation on how you look, feel and perform. We don't do fad diets because they aren’t sustainable and often leave people in a state of starvation and calorie hoarding. They leave out valuable nutrients and leave people feeling miserable. In addition, the restriction of so many foods causes cravings to build up, and binge eating follows. We promote a healthy lifestyle when it comes to nutrition since a diet only works if it is sustainable in the long term.

Having been a competitive weightlifter and stepped on stage for body building competitions I can help you to get to the next level. Whether it's making slight adjustments to your programming, form or diet we'll help you find your EDG for your next competition.
